We are Strath Union, your Students’ Union - the beating heart of activity for students on Strathclyde campus since 1964.
We run events year-round where you can let loose, let go, just throw a couple shapes and put your skills on show.
We provide free and confidential advice for students, covering academic support, wellbeing and more.
University is all about finding friends, finding community, and finding yourself.
We exist to represent all students at the University of Strathclyde. We make sure your voice is heard across the University and beyond.
Enhance your CV, develop skills, find a part-time job and get more involved with your local community.
We've been leading the way in developing projects, campaigns, and student societies to better support students.

25 November - 10 December
Every year we celebrate the 16 Days of Action and campaign to end violence against women.
This year at Strath Union we’re focussing around the theme of disclosure, and will be campaigning for clear reporting pathways, against non-disclosure agreements, and will be encouraging people to disclose their experiences with gender-based and sexual violence wherever they can.
We’ll be launching a new social channel for students to contribute their own experiences, art and activism - so watch this space for launch!!
Each year we organise a Fight for the Night march to reclaim our streets and demand safety for women & trans and non-binary people on our streets at night. Although we won’t be able to march through the streets of Glasgow this year, the pandemic won’t stop us from organising. We’ll be running Fight for the Night From Home this year on the 10th. We encourage everyone to make and share banners online with the hashtag #16days and come along to our banner making workshops. On the 10th at 4pm we’ll be lighting up Strathclyde purple to show solidarity with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and encourage you to do the same.
Check out the events above to get involved!
