Student Sexual Health Matters

A Campaign by the: VP Welfare & VP Inclusion

  • What is this campaign?

Your VP Welfare, Benn Rapson, is working alongside your VP Inclusion, Rachel Cairns, to advance the case for improving Sexual Health Services for students. This builds on the work of past representatives, in particular the campaign for a permanent Sexual Health Clinic at Strathclyde.

  • What is the latest update?

In Autumn we carried out an extensive survey of the student body which garnered 600+ total respondents and over 400+ completed responses. The survey provided us valuable information on student sexual health and wellbeing. Thank you to everyone who participated!

  • What happens next?

Once the data from the Sexual Health Survey (2020) has been analysed, a report will be published in the New Year setting out our recomendations. These recomendations will identify what we believe must be done to improve support for students, as well as identify any next steps.

  • How do I get involved?

Once again, thank you to everyone who has already got involved by participating in our survey! In the New Year, we will be setting out additional ways that students can get involved in the campaign for improved Sexual Health Services for students. Watch this space!
