Over the past year, the University of Strathclyde has dramatically increased its tuition fees for postgraduate taught (PGT) degrees. Fees have risen by £2,650 on average, in the past year. This saw Strathclyde go from being one of the most affordable Universities in Scotland for students to access postgraduate education, to one of the most expensive.

We believe this approach is counter to Strathclyde's proclaimed socially progressive values and worry Strathclyde is placing postgraduate study out of reach for most students.

We ask students to sign our petition below, calling for the University to:

  • Reduce the cost of postgraduate taught degrees.
  • Implement a new strategy which supports students from widening access backgrounds to access PG education.
