Training

Training to help you in your role as a Strath Rep.

As a new Programme Rep, you will receive training from your Union to equip you to with the skills needed for your role, such as:

  • gathering feedback from your students
  • dealing with feedback from your students
  • how to act at student staff liaison committees (SSLCs)

These skills will also be important and transferable to almost any jobs, so it is worth doing!

There are two parts to the training you will receive as a new Programme Rep:

  1. Part 1

    This is an online training package which you can start as soon as you can access the class.

  2. Part 2

    This is a group session (either in-person or online)

Being a rep is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and Strath Union are here to help you fulfil your role. Part 2 of training for reps is held a few times in each semester to help you develop communication, problem-solving, and team-working skills which help you to become and effective rep.
