Have you got an interesting 'side hustle', or a small business project you have started up? Volunteer as a presenter during Global Entrepreneurship Week (16 - 22 November) and share your experience with fellow students.
This could be anything from running a Youtube channel, selling crafts through Etsy, freelancing as a translator, tutoring and much more!
We will support you through the process of planning your session, creating materials and providing feedback.
Your talk will be promoted University-wide as part of the new Inspire Programme, designed to re-imagine entrepreneurship.
If you would rather produce a video or written piece, we want to hear from you too!
Benefits to self
You will gain experience of public speaking and get a chance to practice how to share your story/explain your business model to others.
You will be eligible to log volunteering hours for this role, and it will be shown on your volunteering transcript (received at graduation).
Benefits to others
You will be inspiring others to realise their ideas and expand people's understanding of what entrepreneurship looks like.
You will be offered 1 to 1 time with a relevant staff member to practice public speaking and structure the content of your talk.
Support and supervision details
You will be supported at all times by Strath Union's Opportunities staff.
