Digital and Social Media Marketing

This is an exciting opportunity to join a CIC, utilise interpersonal, learned and commercial skills. We are looking to recruit a social media and digital marketing team member to help develop and implement new ways to improve Won Connect and it’s services. You will be directly helping Won Connect support elderly and vulnerable adults in their communities.

Won Connect CIC delivers a variety of digital and computer training programmes to improve skills, employability and connectivity with peers through Technology and Digital Media. Importantly, we want to raise awareness and understanding of how to protect your devices, data, and finance from fraud and abuse online.

 

What will I be doing?

This role is ideally suited to a smart working, friendly, very good and positive mindset, polite,
courteous, business minded, driven and organised individual who will enjoy being a part of a
thriving and buzzing environment in a progressive company.
Liaising with the Website developers - YouTube Officer and other members of the team
Managing oursocial media accountsd (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest)
Researching and contacting potential joint venture partners for ad swaps.
Using our tools to automate social marketing.
Using SocialMarker.com, SocialAdr, Empire Marketing Tool, and other tools to spread our
links and videos to the best social bookmarking sites.
Joining groups and pages on Facebook related to your target market to post comments,
offers, services and products on their walls and to find potential joint venture partners.
Building niche posts that sell our products and services.
Writing or spinning posts or/and videos per week on each social media platform to generate
leads, traffic, engagement and raise awareness. All content should support our primary
business goals. The posts should be informative, educational and fun.
 

What skills/experience do I need?

- Ability to work strategically and use own initiative
- Be a collaborative team member and supportive colleague
- Knowledge of using social media channels in a strategic capacity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Customer service and communication skills.

This role is ideal for anyone of any age who has experience of social media and digital and wishes to share their skills for the benefit of the community of Glasgow.

Training available

Full induction and opportunities for excellent training, be able to work minimum 5 hours a week. We are very flexible. The candidate will have the opportunity to work from and office if needed.
