SCAA Facepainting Volunteer

This opportunity takes place between 01 Feb 2023 and 30 Sep 2023

Our fundraising volunteers play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for SCAA across Scotland. Face Painting Volunteers create designs for adults and children at events providing a fun and cheerful experience to all. We welcome creativity and also happy to provide a shortlist of simple designs.

Role Summary

Sign up to available opportunities.

We can provide kit and a shortlist of designs and stencils– if we are busy quick designs may be easier. We always welcome creativity and flair so please bring along any ideas!

Set up the face painting area, we provide a donations bucket/contactless methods and find that everyone is very generous.

Engage with people, hear both personal and SCAA related stories.

Support and teamwork with other volunteers on shift.

Breaks as and when you require.

Follow any H&S guidance on the day.

 

Skills and Experience

While previous experience is preferred, if you are artistic we would love to hear from you!

Positive manner.

Happy to talk with a diverse group of people.

Comfortable with cash handling and contactless donation methods. Other volunteers will be nearby to support.

Comfortable standing for longer periods of time, chairs and breaks available whenever needed.

All of our event-based roles require reasonable levels of activity.

Specialised training if relevant for the role, including H&S.

Named contact with Community Fundraising Staff for support and queries.

Regular updates and training.

You will have a named staff fundraiser for support during your time at SCAA. We also operate a volunteer buddy system on the day.
