Running Event Marshal

This opportunity takes place on 19 Sep 2025 Closing date for applications is 17 Sep.

As a Course Marshal, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe running of the event. Positioned at key points along the route, your job is to help guide participants, offer encouragement, and alert the event team to any issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct runners along the course and support them with clear instructions

  • Help maintain a safe environment for both participants and the public

  • Communicate quickly with the event team in case of emergencies or incidents

  • Keep the atmosphere positive with encouragement and support

If you have any past experience or relevant skills (e.g. first aid, communication, crowd support), let us know — we’ll do our best to place you where you can be most effective. No formal experience is needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to help.

You’ll be fully briefed before the event, and we’ll make sure you’re confident in your role on the day.

Support and supervision details

You’ll be fully supported and supervised by the lead coordinator throughout the event. They’ll guide you on your role, answer any questions, and ensure you’re confident and clear on what to do on the day.
