Are you looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community? Would you like to support a young person in achieving their full potential? We want to hear from you!

Here at the Inclusive Homework Club, our mission is No Child Left Behind. With the help of our extraordinary volunteer tutors, we are working to tackle barriers to learning and ensure every child receives the individualised learning support they need to reach their full potential.

We are looking for tutors in Primary and Secondary English, Maths, and Sciences. Prospective tutors should be able to commit to a weekly session with their student. Our sessions take place face-to-face, on a one-on-one basis. On Mondays and Tuesdays, our sessions run from 4-5 PM, 5-6 PM, and 6-7 PM, and take place at Kinning Park Complex, 43 Cornwall St, G41 1BA. On Wednesdays, our sessions run from 4-5 PM and 5-6 PM, and take place at Clyde Community Hall, 41 Whitefield Rd, Glasgow G51 2YB.

Training and induction sessions will be provided, and shadowing sessions will be offered prior to starting as a tutor. So, if you don't have any experience in tutoring, we still want to hear from you!

Training available

All of our volunteers must attend a training session at the start of each academic year. In 2026, our training sessions are set to take place on August 5 at 4-6 PM, and September 29 at 5-7 PM. Food will be provided at our training sessions, and we will give you all the information you need to tutor confidently. We'll cover the Scottish curriculum, planning sessions, finding resources, Additional Support Needs (ASN), safeguarding, and dealing with difficult behaviour.

Support and supervision details

You will have access to a database of resources for your tutoring sessions. We are always on hand to help you plan your sessions, or if you are having any difficulties. We can also provide references and certificates upon request.
