Club LATE volunteer

This opportunity takes place between 25 Jan 2019 and 13 Jun 2019. Closing date for applications is 15 May.

dates-n-mates, a dating and friendship organisation for adults with learning disabilities, is now running a monthly inclusive club night geared toward adults with learning disabilities but open to all- Club LATE. Club LATE generally attracts over 100 clubbers at each event and features some of Glasgow’s top DJs. Club LATE has been running since 2012 but has recently been relaunched as a monthly event in partnership with Include Me 2 Club, a community-based organisation for adults and young people with additional support needs. We are looking for a team of volunteers who can come along and help our clubbers- some of whom will never have had the opportunity to attend a club night before- feel welcome, comfortable, and included. This will mean being on hand for a chat or a dance, making sure clubbers can find their way around the venue, and helping out with various tasks like handing out glow sticks- really tough stuff! You’d be joining a team of experienced volunteers and staff and would have the opportunity to buddy up with a more experienced volunteer for your first event.
