Food Train are looking for volunteer befrienders for some of our older members in the North East of Glasgow who are socially isolated and in need of some company and friendship either within their own homes or out in their communities

We will provide PVG application on students behalf.
A short in-house training session on befriending is required prior to commencing the volunteer role which covers:
the role of a befriender and the services provided
service guidelines and boundaries
what to do in an emergency
equalities and values at Food Train
Policy and Procedures at Food Train
Support and supervision details
Initial meeting with Food Train member is facilitated by staff. Ongoing support and supervision with a face to face meeting at 1,3,6 and 12 months.
