Glasgow Marrow Volunteer

This opportunity takes place from 30 Sep 2020

We're Glasgow Marrow and we save the lives the people with blood cancer. Working on behalf of national charity Anthony Nolan, we run events to recruit new donors to the stem cell register in the hope they'll one day be a match for someone in need of a lifesaving stem cell transplant. We need dedicated volunteers to help run our events and recruit even more lifesavers to the register.

Benefits to self

You'll gain new skills in communication and team work as you work alongside our committee to run events and recruit new donors to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register.

Benefits to others

The work you'll be contributing to is so vitally important. Someone is diagnosed with blood cancer every 14 minutes and for some, their last chance at life is a stem cell transplant. The more donors on the register, the better their chances of finding a lifesaving match.
