Event Volunteer

This opportunity takes place between 20 Feb 2020 and 30 Mar 2020.

We are seeking volunteers to help in the delivery of the High Street & Saltmarket Window festival and to act as guiding invigilators to hand out programmes and greet and safely direct visitors to participating venues along the thoroughfare. This is a great opportunity to gain experience of event delivery and be a part of an exciting new festival.

SaltSpace are co-ordinating a festival on behalf of the community of High Street and Saltmarket. The festival will utilise the shop fronts along the full length of the historic High Street and Saltmarket thoroughfare, in March 2020.

The festival will take the form of a kind of outdoor gallery in shop windows designed by participating artists, designers and performers. The theme for the festival is around the history and heritage of the historic thoroughfare of High Street and Saltmarket.

SaltSpace are a cooperative of graduates from the Glasgow School of Art who operate three arts venues along the High Street and saltmarket thoroughfare, including Salt Gallery at 270 High Street.
