Vice President Community

Vice President Community is responsible for campaigning to widen development projects and opportunities for students. They will campaign to widen participation in extra-curricular activities and support the development of the clubs and societies. Vice President Inclusion

Vice President Inclusion champions equality, diversity and inclusion. They work with liberation groups, faith and culture societies, and marginalised students to ensure that their views are represented by lobbying the University and external agencies, developing campaigns and mobilising the wider student body to effect change.

Vice President Welfare

Vice President Welfare is responsible for campaigning on issues that affects student welfare and wellbeing including housing, mental health and financial hardship. They will represent student interests within the University and local community and ensure the Union supports welfare groups.

Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Rep

The BAME Rep promotes inclusivity on campus and is a spokesperson for all students of African, Arab, Caribbean, Asian, Latin American and First Nation decent. The BAME Rep sits on the Strathclyde Students’ Union Equality Diversity Committee. The Rep directly reports to the Vice President Inclusion and works closely together with the Student Exec on campaigns concerning students identifying as BAME. The Rep must self-define as a BAME student enrolled at Strathclyde University.

Democracy Convenor

Disabled Students' Rep

The Disabled Students’ Rep promotes inclusivity on campus and is a spokesperson for all students that self-define as disabled students. The officer sits on the Strathclyde Students’ Union Equality Diversity Committee. The Disabled Students’ Rep directly reports to the Vice President Inclusion and works closely together with the Student Exec and the Disabled Students Group on campaigns concerning disabled students. The Rep must self-define as a disabled student enrolled at Strathclyde University

LGBT+ Rep

LGBTplus Rep promotes inclusivity on campus, is a spokesperson for all students that define as LGBTplus. The Rep sits on the Strathclyde Students’ Union Equality and Diversity Committee. Mature Students' Rep

The Mature Students’ Rep promotes inclusivity on campus, is a spokesperson for all students that are 21 years old or over at the start of their undergraduate programme or 25 years old or over at the start of postgraduate study. The Mature Students’ Rep sits on the Strath Union Welfare Committee and attends Student Parliament. The Rep is responsible for organising a minimum of one campaign or project per semester that champions mature students’ issues and raises awareness.

Part Time Students' Rep

The Part Time Students’ Rep promotes inclusivity on campus and is a spokesperson for all students enrolled on a part time course at Strathclyde. The Rep sits on the Strathclyde Students’ Union Welfare Committee. The Part Time Students’ Rep directly reports to the Vice President Welfare and works closely with the VPW, the VP Inclusion and the remaining Student Exec on campaigns concerning part time students at Strathclyde. The Rep must be a part time student enrolled at Strathclyde University.
