ALEXANDER BROCK

#BrockVPSW #SteadyAsABrock

I’ve been involved in sports at Strathclyde since 2013 during my undergraduate degree in Clinical Scots Law LLB and postgraduate degree in International Commercial Law LLM, which I’ll be finishing this year.

In this role, I hope to ensure there is sufficient levels of support, increasing participation and promoting the wellbeing of all students at Strathclyde. Whilst I do not have direct experience as part of the Sports Exec, I’ve been involved in the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic Executive Committee and Men’s hockey Committee. Within the Law Clinic, I was IT Officer for two years, Schools Project Manager (a legal community outreach project aimed at advising S1-S6s of their legal rights) and Firm F Coordinator overseeing and assisting student advisors with their real-life cases at the Law Clinic. Within Hockey, I’ve been 2nd XI Vice-Captain, Match Secretary and currently Club Captain.

  • Drop-in sessions to ensure the healthy running of clubs and wellbeing of students

  • Establish a ‘Strath Sport Spotlight’ that emphasises every single sport available at Strathclyde that effectively looks at clubs one by one to not only promote them, but to see how they can be helped to achieve their goals and go to the next level
