Impartiality: as Democracy Convenor i understand I hold a vital role in protecting and increasing student democracy in Strathclyde and i will fulfil this role while remaining impartial.

An independent voice: if elected I'll stand as an independent and impartial voice to chair all debates to facilitate productive and meaningful dialogue between all present parties in the Strathclyde student parliament to ensure your interests are protected and your voices are heard! 

Increased participation: I will increase voter participation and interest in student democracy by raising awareness of student democracy and helping to inform students on how to get involved in the democratic process in order to increase awareness and participation.

Student parliament, students voices: I believe strongly that students voices must be heard. If elected I will campaign to return the student parliament to a platform where all who are present can vote. This will allow maximum student involvement in the democratic process of the university and give students voices a real say in our democracy. 

Reforming your parliament: if elected I will make it easier for you to access your parliament. We have moved into an increasingly digital world yet our student parliament hasn't and it’s time to take our student democracy into the modern world! As Democracy Convenor I will make sure to have properly recorded and live streamed student parliament sessions. I will also introduce more digital student polling. This will give unprecedented access to the democratic process of our university by increasing participation and accessibility.
