My time at uni would have not been the same without the Sports Union. Bleeding maroon, through 4 years at Strath, I have competed with hockey in BUCS leagues and competitions. I have continually shown my commitment to club committees and societies, in many roles, and this year have been on sports exec. I have loved being involved and giving back. With a passion to succeed, I am eager to take on the role of Sports President.

This year as awards officer, I have been critical of the Sports Union and successfully made changes to the awards process and Sports Union constitution. Quite frankly, I get things done.

I have shown myself to work well with the SU staff, Strath Sport and am more than qualified for the role. If elected I will: 

• Utilise the pavilion space at Stepps, providing a facility for match teas after games with different sports
• Assess the success of StrathActive to develop the programme and increase engagement from the wider student body, using sport to support mental health and wellbeing
• Offer bookable 1 to 1 contact with clubs to keep relationships up beyond the campaign 
• Sports Union branded sliders
• Fixed £2 drinks in the union for sports, clubs and societies, including after the new union opens
• Increased celebrating of success of clubs, as well as individuals

I’d love to take on the role and prove myself to be the most passionate member of the Sports Union.
