Hi, my name is Shivani, and I'm running to be your VPEducation (this role is about ensuring that your education needs are met).  

• I aim to help students receive adequate support for their mental health and wellbeing needs.
• I aim to advocate the introduction of formal teaching feedback mechanism and contain classroom sizes to make sure the quality of education provided is improved.
• I will advocate the introduction of lecture recordings and re-evaluation requests being provided via the class portals on Pegasus. I believe having access to audio recordings of lectures will help students whose first language is not English. The re-evaluation requests, on the other hand, will help students who have failed to meet the pass criteria and would like to be considered for re-evaluation.
• Though we have adequate student reps, there is still a lack of awareness of the duties and responsibilities of reps. There is also a lack of awareness of support services (Study Skills, Career Services, Advice Hub, Nightline, etc.) available to students.  I aim to educate students on why student reps are so essential and to improve the awareness of existing services.
• I aim to make sure everyone is supported equally regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, faith or any other bias and for students to enjoy a safe and unbiased academic environment.
