Candidate for the position of NUS Scotland Conference Delegate
Say YES, to an Independent, Scottish, NUS! Vote Benn Rapson #1
Having attended both NUS Scotland and NUS UK Conferences in the past, I maintain the position that the time is right for an Independent, Scottish, National Union of Students.
NUS UK is no longer fit for purpose. It does not represent students who choose to study in Scotland accurately nor fairly. I believe that it is time for a radical change.
If elected your NUS Scotland delegate I will campaign for an Independent, Scottish, NUS by launching a national campaign for an independent NUS Scotland.
Covid-19 has hit every single one of us hard. Students have often been mistreated as second class citizens subject to sets of rules that the general public are not. This needs to stop! Students need additional funding now to tackle the challenges of Covid-19. I will support all motions calling for this!
Covid-19 has exposed the flawed system of Higher Education funding in Scotland. Our system of funding is crumbling as all systems based on unjust inequality eventually do! We need radical change - we need wholesale free tuition for all students regardless of where they come from! I will support all motions at NUS calling for this!
