A VOTE FOR IS A VOTE FOR CHOICE

Hi, I am Anabia Masood, a first-year law student at University of Strathclyde. I am running for NUS delegate because I want to represent you at the NUS conference, ensuring our universities voices are heard on a national platform. If you believe that we should campaign for: increased funding for mental health awareness; more resources to upkeep the quality of online learning and to have a voice fighting against discrimination, then VOTE Anabia Masood for NUS delegate!

Be aware and increase funding for Mental Health facilities: The pandemic has caused significant distress to students; I aim to ensure NUS are taking progressive steps to aid students in improving mental wellbeing; focused on the pivotal need for increased significance. As a previous ambassador for students’ experience, I hold vital knowledge to initiate a campaign to tackle the problem with a more focussed approach.

Fighting discrimination: tackling Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, homophobia, sexism on university campuses. You will agree every student deserves an equal chance at success; I want to provide them with the means to be able achieve this. My efforts to abolish discrimination are ongoing and will strengthen at NUS.

Increased resources for Online Learning: Tackling solitary and didactic forms of online learning. I am currently a class representative and student voice within staff meetings. I am frequently met with concerns regarding online learning. Through NUS, I will raise these issues to take active steps to rectify them. This platform will allow me access to reach a more substantial student community at Strathclyde.
