Hi, I’m Dorothea and I want to be your Post-Graduate Student Rep!

A little about me, so that you know who you’re voting for:

I love plants! I might soon have more plants in my flat than furniture :)
I’m from Germany, but I’ve never been to Oktoberfest (that’s just a Bavarian thing btw…)
And I seriously have a love for psychology, that was my undergrad here at Strathclyde, and I’m such a nerd that I read research papers for fun, it’s a passion, what can I do?

Now I’m doing an Mphil in Digital Mental Health, part-time, so I’ve been a Strathclyde student for six years already! I was an NUS delegate and class and faculty rep for HaSS for three years, and I’ve also been working in the Education Enhancement, so I really know how to get things done. One of my biggest wins was the #WeNeedCounselling campaign, where I managed to get more funding for the student counselling services.

Here’s what I want to work on this year:

• Regular drop-in sessions with me, for you!

• Get the best possible teaching, even if it's online for now

• Get the best research supervision: advice, feedback on writing, proofreading, networking...

• Fair pay for students who teach, supervise etc. as part of their degree

• Better support for students with English as a second language

• Support inclusivity, diversity and equal opportunity
