I am pragmatic in my view that the Scottish voice at NUS UK does not often have as much impact, but I feel the conference is an invaluable networking opportunity to link student unions with knowledge sharing and exposure, and to collaborate on wider campaigns.

My priorities are:

• Free and accessible public transport as a method for achieving social mobility, sustainability and equality.
• Growing the culture of volunteering among students, particularly on sustainability projects and wider campaigns.
