Supporting girls, gays and theys

Hey, I’m Eva and I’m currently studying Business Admin. I have always been extremely passionate about women liberation and equality. My previous role as Vice President Diversity and Wellbeing at City of Glasgow College has given me the confidence and insight to perform this role to a high standard. I had the opportunity to work alongside many inspiring women and I would love to use this experience to make improvements and promote inclusivity at Strathclyde.

One of my main focuses would be breaking the stigma around sexual assault. I would create more support for survivors through workshops on topics such as consent, resilience and healing.  It is extremely important to me that our students have an inclusive, safe space at the Union.  I would work alongside the LGBT+ rep to ensure that students are fully represented throughout our campaigns. I also aim to promote body positivity through campaigns that challenge society’s perceptions and promote self-love.

I am bursting with ideas and always keen to listen to others. I want to incorporate student’s thoughts into the future of the union and I will achieve this by hosting regular drop-in sessions. I also want to celebrate our amazing female students at the university by creating a space to promote their work, small businesses and ideas.

I would love to be a friendly face that the students feel comfortable approaching, vote for me!
