Candidate for the position of Faculty Rep Science Undergraduate
Empowering academic excellence, voices are heard, diversity is celebrated.
My name is Sleman Bakir. I am a third year physics student. My manifesto focuses on three key areas: academic excellence, student representation, and community engagement.
Academic excellence is of the utmost importance. As a representative, I will strive to provide students with the support they need to succeed in their studies. This includes working with faculty and staff to ensure that course materials are up-to-date and relevant.
Student representation is also crucial. I will work to ensure that the voices of science students are heard and that our needs are met. By actively engaging with other student representatives, participating in faculty and university-wide meetings, and collaborating with staff and faculty to address issues and concerns.
Finally, community engagement is essential for creating a positive and inclusive environment for students. I will work to build a sense of belonging and engagement among science students, as well as fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual support. This includes organizing events and initiatives that bring students together and promoting opportunities for community service and outreach. To achieve these goals, I will be accessible, responsive, and proactive in my role as a representative for the Faculty of Science. I will be the voice of every science student. I am committed to being a strong advocate for the Faculty of Science and its students, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that the Faculty of Science is a place where students can thrive academically, personally and professionally.
