Engineering Faculty Rep Candidate

As a 4th year Engineering Student in CEE, I believe I have the relevant experience, knowledge and commitment for this role, and aim to be a representative of ALL engineering students at Strathclyde.

I understand how important this role is and will endeavour to advocate for all engineering students in the university. My intention is to attend all meetings, information sessions and union activities relevant to the role and I aim to actively gather feedback from all engineering programs and give feedback on relevant issues.

My experience has given me a greater understanding of how best to help and support the student body, and how to work together with staff to facilitate change:

  • Program Rep for Civil and Environmental engineering for the past 4 academic years
  • Course and Program Rep Trainer (IAT) for 2022/23 academic year across all departments Current student member of the Industrial Advisory Board for the CEE department
  • Current Student Mentor within the Engineering department

I also have a solid understanding of the following:

  • The role of faculty rep and have worked closely with previous faculty reps on issues within the university.
  • The need to represent ALL engineering students across the Engineering department at Strathclyde.
