Education for everyone- unlocking potential and unleashing possibility.

Hi Everyone,

I am Chisom Sheryl Okpala, a postgraduate student in the Humanities and Social Sciences faculty.

I am running for the Student Union's Vice President, Education position.

I firmly understand what it takes to create a positive learning environment for all of us to thrive and flourish.  I am passionate about ensuring everyone has access to the many opportunities it offers.

As your Vice President Education, I will assiduously pursue these;

1. Constantly liaise with the relevant Department to maintain a conducive environment for teaching & learning.

2. Ensure that the HEAR (Higher Education Attainment Record) project started by the previous executive will be implemented and improved.

3. Commit to striving for improved access to quality educational resources & support for  students, regardless of background or identity.

4. Foster a culture of collaboration and communication between students and faculties.

5. Promote positive mental health habits for students through digital tools & physical campaigns.

6. Support initiatives that enhance creativity amongst students.

I have always maintained constant engagement with my fellow students. I currently serve the Nigerian Society as Public Relations Officer as well as my Faculty as the students Representative. In addition, I have a history of developing innovative solutions for teaching and learning.

It would be my honour to serve as your Vice President Education.

I urge you all to please vote for me and together, we will unlock potential and unleash possibilities!

Thank you
