Candidate for the position of Vice President Welfare
I will be your voice, a lighthouse in your darkest of times.
Dear Students,
As a candidate for the role of Vice President of Welfare, I stand before you with a steadfast commitment to championing your well-being and addressing the obstacles that you may encounter during your time at university.
I am all too aware that student life can be a tumultuous journey, with high rents, scarce housing options, and financial difficulties serving as constant sources of stress. As Vice President of Welfare, I vow to turn these challenges into opportunities for growth and progress. I will work tirelessly to secure affordable and safe housing for all students and collaborate with local organizations and the university to establish a support system for those facing financial hardship.
Mental health is a critical concern that affects a significant number of students, and I believe that it deserves our unwavering attention. I will partner with the university to provide comprehensive resources and support, including mental health counseling, stress management workshops, and support groups.
Additionally, I will prioritize the needs of underrepresented and marginalized students, such as international students, students with disabilities, and those from low-income backgrounds. I will ensure that their voices are heard and their needs are met, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
In conclusion, I am confident in my abilities and passionate about this role. I request your support in this election so that, together, we can bring about meaningful change and make a positive impact.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Mohit Variya
