Candidate for the position of Vice President Community
"Building a sustainable and inclusive community together"
As Vice President Community, I am committed to creating an inclusive and sustainable community for all Strathclyde students. My vision is to foster a collaborative and supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
To achieve this, I will focus on three key areas:
Widening participation: I will work to increase participation in extra-curricular activities and support the development of clubs and societies. I will also campaign for more opportunities for students to get involved in development projects to help broaden their skills and experiences.
Sustainability and environmental issues: I will lead the Union and University in sustainable initiatives and work towards creating a more environmentally friendly campus. I will collaborate with students, staff, and local communities to promote sustainable practices and reduce our carbon footprint.
Collaboration: I will foster collaboration between Strathclyde students, staff, and local communities. I will work towards creating partnerships that will help students develop their skills and knowledge and provide opportunities for them to give back to the community.
Overall, my aim is to create a vibrant and inclusive community at Strathclyde, where students can make the most of their time at university, and are empowered to make a positive impact on the world around them.
