Dear fellow students,

As a member of the Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic community, my goal for the position of BAME Representative is to ensure that every student on campus feels valued, heard, and represented.

My manifesto is based on the following pillars:

• Promoting inclusivity and diversity: I will create a welcoming and inclusive environment on campus, collaborating with different societies to celebrate our diverse cultures and traditions. I will also ensure that our curriculum and academic resources are inclusive and representative of our community.
• Addressing discrimination and inequalities: I will work closely with Strath Union's to dismantle systemic barriers and address any form of discrimination or inequalities that our community may face.
• Amplifying our voices. I will make sure our voices are heard by the university administration, also hold regular meetings with the VP Inclusion to discuss concerns and find effective solutions.
• Building community: I will create opportunities for our community to build relationships with one another, including social events, discussion groups, and a mentorship program for first-year students who may need additional support and guidance.
• Providing support: I will work to provide additional support services for students who may need them, such as mental health resources or financial assistance.
• I am committed to making a positive impact on campus and ensuring that the Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic community is represented and supported.

By working together, we can create a more inclusive, equitable, and thriving community at Strathclyde University.
