"Uniting voices, empowering diversity: International Strathclyde, Better Strathclyde."

We, the international students, are a diverse and vibrant community that brings cultural, social, and economic benefits to the universities and communities we are part of. As international students, we should have a voice in shaping the policies and practices that affect us.

As an international student myself, I know the difficulties that every international student experiences starting from adapting to a new culture to making friends and socially included.

As international students’ representative, I pledge to:

  1. Work tirelessly to ensure the unique needs of international students and provides us with adequate support services, resources and guidance to help us thrive academically and socially.
  2. Promote and celebrate the diverse cultures and identities of international students and facilitate events and activities that foster cross-cultural understanding and integration.
  3. Work closely within Strath Union to address challenges faced by international students and promote a shared sense of community.
  4. Seek to create opportunities for international students to enhance their career prospects and professional skills through industry placements, workshops, and networking events.
  5. Work with university administration to create a safe and secure environment for international students, free from harassment, discrimination, and bias.

By working collaboratively with the university administration, students and other stakeholders, we can create a more inclusive and supportive community for international students.

I urge all international students to join me in this mission and to make their voices heard. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of international students and the communities we are part of.
