Hi everyone! My name is Justyna (she/her) and I’m running for Vice President Community…. again!

I have studied at Strathclyde as an Undergraduate in Psychology over the last 4 years, with societies and volunteering being at the forefront of my whole University experience. Strath Union has made me into the person I am today, and what better way to continue the wonderful things I think Strath Union has to offer other than to shape it myself with the community of dedicated students I know it has.

I would like to think I have done a good job so far in the post, but I know that there is more to come.

Here are some of the things I intend to do if I am re-elected:

Community

• Create a new volunteer forum for all Strath volunteers to make suggestions on new volunteer projects & how you’d like to improve the existing ones (Hear to Listen, Welcome Team, etc.).
• Provide info for society funding by hosting free workshops on writing grant requests.
• Improve the booking system so you can book rooms in the Union with ease.

Sustainability

• Introduce a deposit return scheme (cash-back on recycling).
• Create a Sustainability Representative.
• Expand sustainability volunteering opportunities that coincide with the Sustainability Hub & its initiatives (Swap Shop, Swap Rack, Kit for all Initiative).
