Viva Strath Vegas

Hey, I’m Eva! Currently a fourth-year marketing student but you might recognise me from serving you at the Union bar. I have always had a passion for improving the student experience. For the past two years, I’ve been Women’s Rep at Strathclyde and I have loved every second of it. I was also elected Vice President Diversity and Wellbeing at City of Glasgow College. My experience from these roles has given me the skills to deliver positive change and lead with enthusiasm and confidence.

As President, I would:

  • Provide support and improve awareness of student-led mental health initiatives
  • Revise the Discretionary Fund policies to address the cost-of-living crisis and support students in hardship
  • Ensure that Strathclyde remains a zero-tolerance campus with a key focus on improving sexual health resources
  • Be a genuine voice for students, hosting monthly drop-ins to address student issues regardless of gender, sexuality, age, religion, or ethnicity.

My Achievements:

  • Implementing ‘The Introduction to Gender-Based Violence’ as a mandatory module in Strathclyde’s induction (2023/24)
  • Improving the Union bar through facilitating consent training and introducing new procedures that protect the safety of students
  • Supporting liberation societies, representing their interests on several committees
  • Introducing the Ask for Angela initiative across campus

I’m passionate about continuing to make positive changes that benefit all students and being a friendly face on campus here to support you!

Vote for me! Thanks! You can reach me on my Instagram @evaforstrathpres <3
