Candidate for the position of Women's Rep
Promoting a safer, inclusive and empowering Strathclyde. Vote for Annie Rose <3
Hello! I am Annie Rose, and I am in my third year studying Scots and English Law. My passion for encouraging a liberating and safe community for women throughout Strathclyde University is evident throughout my work in the Women+ in Leadership Networking Society over the past two years, in addition to my work with the UN Women UK Campaign ‘creating safer spaces for women’.
It is important for me to support the work the previous women’s rep, Eva, achieved concerning the implementation of the consent module. Additionally, I would ensure Strathclyde follows their pledges as part of the binding commitment that has been made with the Emily Test organisation. Furthermore, I would promote regular training for ‘Ask for Angela’, in addition to Bystander Training. Moreover, I want to encourage women and non-binary students' usage of Strathclyde Sport and work with the Vice President Sport to achieve this. I will provide support for the women lead clubs and societies. As well as this, I will offer regular drop-ins whereby I can listen and work hard to apply your ideas for how we can collectively make Strathclyde more inclusive, safe and empowering.
I would be honored to be elected as women's rep to work alongside you, the women of Strathclyde University to create a safer, inclusive and empowered Strathclyde.
