WHO AM I?

Daniel Awomukwu, currently a Ph.D. Forensic Science student in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Formerly an M.Sc. Forensic Science graduate from the University of Strathclyde. I am smart, energetic and vibrant. I have a very determined personality in contributing to the students’ welfare and improving their well-being.

WHAT MY EXPERIENCE?

I was the former Democratic and Policy Officer of the Strathclyde University Student Union from October 2018 - March 2019. I was also the NUS Conference delegate for the year 2019.I have been an experienced lecturer for over 10 years and currently a demonstrator in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry for the undergrate and masters students.  I have been very active in university politics both as a student and lecturer. I feel this institution needs an experienced and intelligent leader that will promote unity, trust, equality, and honesty.

WHAT I WILL DO IF YOU ELECT ME

TRUST AND TEAMWORK

  • Create an active policy and informative platform that will ensure that students’ opinions are fully represented during the upcoming conference.
  • Create a supportive, dynamic and unbiased platform that will enable a better relationship between Student Executives and students in running a democratic structure.

EQUITY AND FAIRNESS

  • I will ensure that proposed policies by the students or the Strathclyde Union Executives are executed and implemented accordingly.

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • I will make myself accessible to students and allow opportunities to question and contribute to issues affecting them.
