In support of Charity Month at the Strathclyde Student's Union will be launching a social media campaign aiming to highlight the fantastic charity AMINA - The Muslim Women's Resource Centre. Their aim is to "create an inclusive Scotland in which Muslim and BME women can contriubue fully". We will be sharing the brilliant resources they have available as well as highlighting some of the inspirational stories from women who have been involved with them. We will also be promoting how you can get involved volunteering with the charity.
We are collaborating with SUMSA - Strathclyde University Muslim Student Association with all money raised going directly to the charity. You can donate through our gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/sumsa-amina-fundraiser?utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1&utm_medium=chat&utm_source=whatsapp
This campaign will run from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th Febraury so keep an eye on both the Strathclyde Speakers and SUMSA social media accounts to follow our progress!
On Saturday 27th we will be hosting Afternoon Tea for AMINA- a short discussion from 1-2pm on how we can all help support women achieve their goals and aspirations. We will look at some of the resources AMINA provide to help and explore how we can get involved with their fantastic work.
We will also be discussing the fantastic range of events the university has in March in celebration of International Women's Day and will be sharing the details so you can sign up!
Tickets will be £1 and Zoom details will be sent in the email confirmation you will recieve when you purchase a ticket so hang onto them!
