Interested in Debating or debated in High School? Join us on Thursday 17th September to see some of the Strath Debates members compete against each other. 

We will be debating the motion This House would ban AI systems from expressing opinions on political questions. This motion will dive into AI, politics, policy and much more and is sure to be an immensely interesting debate. This is an amazing opportunity to see first hand what debating is like, meet some of our members and ask us some questions, plus we'll have free pizza!

We will also explain some of the ins and outs of British Parliamentary Style Debating and show you what you could be doing every week with us and even in competitions. 

Debating is an amazing to build speaking skills and improve your public speaking and build amazing argumentative skills. Debate is also a great way to improve your knowledge of current events and deepen your understanding and even change your world-view on historical and moral topics.
