Events

We run events year-round where you can let loose, let go, just throw a couple shapes and put your skills on show.

What's occurring?

Fortnightly Society Monday Meeting, 5.30pm: A chance for the committee to give updates on fundraising and future events, to brainstorm fundraising ideas and to just have a chat! 

Members will be sent an email with the Zoom code automatically. It will also be put on the group facebook page.

Non-members are welcome to come along, just send us a wee email at Strathclydemarysmeals@outlook.com and we will send you the email with the Zoom details.

If you have any questions or are a little nervous about coming along, please don't hesitate to send us an email or a message on social media, we will be more than happy to help.

 

Aside from the normal Monday meeting, this week will be our AGM!

This means members get to vote on who they want to see on the committee next academic year.

President

Keeps in contact with our Mary's Meals University groups liaison, leads events including introducing speakers, and runs the society meetings.
Treasurer Tracks donations on our fundraising page, as well as any money in our union account, and deals with payment and grant requests.
Secretary Responds to emails and messages, sends out notices, keeps notes from meetings, organises calendar, and updates union page. 
Social Media Manager Posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, makes graphics/posters for events, replies to messages, interacts with other societies, and the union, and the uni, generally, on socials

 

In previous years there have been other roles such as Vice President. If you think there should be a new role, tell us!

If you're interested in running for the commitee, please fill out the short form below. Don't worry, everyone is welcome & it is not competitive- as long as you are passionate about Mary's Meals & are willing to give a lil bit of time, we'd love to have you!
