Welcome to USM

Ever wanted to build a race car? At USM that's exactly what we do! We design, manufacture, market, test and race an electric single-seater race car in the global Formula Student competition.

We are hosting our welcome meeting specifically for anyone who is interested in joining the team to give you the opportunity to hear a bit more about the competition we compete in, the team, and most importantly, how you can get involved!

The team is open to anyone no matter your previous skills and experience, feel free to contribute in whatever way suits you best and most importantly have fun! We do not expect any prior knowledge, all we ask of everyone is to get involved. We have a structured "New Member Development Program" taking place over the 1st term where you will be able to come along to introductory talks from our system heads to explain the fundamentals of creating a race car from scratch, later pick a system to learn and be a part of and then finally take part in small group projects where you could design and manufacture something like a carbon fibre body panel.
