FAO:      2021-22 Club Captain/President’s

The student sport season is now coming to a close with focus shifted to electing new incoming committee groups for the 2022-23 academic year.

Club Affiliation Agreement

To ensure a smooth handover of club operations and transfer of knowledge between outgoing and incoming committee members, clubs are requested to complete the attached Club Affiliation Agreement which details standards of governance required by each club to be affiliated to the Sports Union.

Various resources and application forms have been compiled into this agreement, replacing previous documents stored on the Club Management Portal. The following sections are now included in the Club Affiliation Agreement:

  • Terms and conditions of membership
  • Handover checklist
  • Development plan
  • Budget application

To ensure a comprehensive handover between volunteers, we recommend that the outgoing committee supports incoming office bearers to complete appropriate sections. Please note the document is prepared as a fillable PDF and should be downloaded using Adobe Acrobat Reader (remember to save content as you go!).

A completed Club Affiliation Agreement should be submitted by a representative from the incoming committee to the Sports Union on ussa.sportsuser@strath.ac.uk no later than Tuesday 31 May 2022. Clubs who do not submit their agreement or fail to notify the Sports Union of any delay to their submission will be assumed to not re-affiliate for 2022-23 and subsequently removed from the Sports Union system.

A copy of the Club Affiliation Agreement has also been emailed to each Club Captain/President.

Committee Contacts, 2022-23

Clubs are also requested to submit contact information of all incoming committee members on the Club Management Portal (www.strathsportsportal.co.uk) by Tuesday 31 May 2022. To update details, following the below steps:

  1. Login to the CMP
  2. Select the ‘Handover’ module then ‘Committee Members’
  3. Select ‘Add Member’ and fill in the relevant details.

Clubs can also request a password change to their unique CMP login by contacting ussa.sportsuser@strath.ac.uk
