9.4 million still missing from the electoral roll

voter registration closing soon

Voter Registration Closes Midnight on Tuesday 26th November

Despite a surge in young people registering to vote, 9.4 million people are still missing from the electoral roll. With statistics showing that younger people are amongst those most likely to be missing from the register, we are encouraging all students to make sure they have registered. Registering to vote is quick and easy and can be done online or by post: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

The two key dates to remember are:

  1. Voter registration closes: Midnight on Tuesday 26th November

  2. Elections will take place on Thursday 12th December

Our VP Education, Eyram Ahadzie, says: “Voting is important simply to make sure your voice is heard. Being involved in the decision making, not letting others make the decision for you.”

Make sure you register to be part of the decision making for your future. If you don’t register, you can’t vote at the upcoming elections on 12th December. With time running out, we ask that you share this with as many people as possible to get the word out that registration is closing soon.
