The shortlist for the annual Student Achievement and Recognition (STAR) Awards has been announced today. A total of 50 individuals, 27 clubs and societies and 11 projects are in the running for an award across six different categories.

The winners will be announced at a formal dinner and awards ceremony on 15 March. The ceremony will be live streamed at the STAR Party in the Barony Bar from 8.30pm, which is open for all students to attend.

The aim of the STAR Awards is to reward and recognise individuals and groups who have given their time freely to make a positive impact on the student community, and beyond. Every year, over 100 outstanding student volunteers are invited to attend a formal dinner and receive their volunteering hours certificates.
