The University have stopped rent increases in halls, after discussions with Strath Union and the Union’s Halls Reps.
Strat Union President, Matt Crilly, VP Support, John Agbonrofo, and halls reps: Callum Barclay; Heidy Barsoum; Niamh Walsh; Sophie Hughes; Danny Dunn; Hammad Mukhtar; Kiera-Louise Friel; Lewis Russell; Lucy Tregoning; and Ludovico del Carretto lead the discussions in convincing the University to not increase rents next year.
Strath Union will also continue to work closely with the University to ensure that significant investments and improvements are made to the accommodation on campus.
Strath Union President, Matt Crilly, said: “I really want to thank the Halls Reps and John Agbonrofo for their help and input in making this possible.
“This has been an amazing achievement for the Union. Providing safe and affordable accommodation is vital in ensuring that students have a positive Strathclyde experience.”
