The Volunteer Awards are one of the biggest, and most important, events within the Union’s calendar.
Filled with all the glitz and glam, this is our chance to recognise and thank all our student volunteers for their incredible work over the year.
With awards raging from Sports, Education, Diversity, Clubs & Societies and dedicated individuals; the Union wouldn’t be able to run if it wasn’t for the hard work and enthusiasm from students across campus.
The top gong of the night went to Jessica Alexander, who was awarded Volunteer of the Year for her work with Strathclyde University Karting Club. Jessica said: “I’m delighted to have won Volunteer of the Year. It means a lot to get recognition like this for my work with the Karting Club, especially when we’ve been having such a great season on the track. It’s been a lot of work this year and I’ve loved every minute of it."
Liam McCabe, Vice President Volunteering & Development, said: “It’s been an absolute honour to work so closely with this year’s nominees. Selecting the winners of each category was incredibly difficult; especially with nominations having such heartfelt and sincere testaments.
“We truly appreciate all the work and commitment that our volunteers put in, and this event is all about them!”
