Strath Union, Centre for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Strathclyde have launched the Sustainability Hub, based at the old Nourish Café located on the ground floor of Livingstone Tower!

This new Hub for sustainability on campus is a result of the Strath Union’s efforts, including your VP Community, to create a central and accessible space for students, staff and the wider Glasgow community to collaborate and learn together on sustainable topics. The creation of the space has been made possible by support from the University of Strathclyde Alumni Fund.

The Sustainability Hub launches with a rotation of sustainable themes where student groups, internal and external organisations hold relevant workshops, talks and networking events for all to attend.

Sustainable Fashion will kick this off as the first in line of topics we will be running, followed by Energy & Household, Intersectionality, Activism, Food & Waste, Travel, Finance & Economy, Sports, Nature, Arts & Culture and Working in the Sector.

As well as the buzz of topical events - the Sustainability Hub launches with our clothes and book swap initiatives, relax area with teas & coffees available and workshop, project & talk areas that societies can book for their sustainable events and projects.

Whether you want to learn more about sustainability and don’t know where to start, are already passionate about the subject and keen to dive deeper, or just interested in networking and joining the fun workshops on our topics, the Hub is the place for you!
