Our Strategy

Take a look at our strategy for 2022-25.

We represent students

We are the place where lifelong friendships are formed. Where it all happens. Be part of it.

We exist to represent the views and interests of all 24,000 students at the University of Strathclyde. We do this by lobbying on your behalf on the issues you care about, delivering campaigns and organising student activity. We offer an independent and confidential advice service, run by professional staff advisers who can support you on matters related to your studies, housing, and funding and finance.

We also want you to have fun while developing skills and enjoying experiences through societies and sports clubs. There are plenty of options with over 200 Societies and over 50 Sports Clubs run by students, for students. We accomodate student volunteering opportunities to help you learn more about your community and enable you to develop professionally and personally.

Our Strategy

In 2022 we spent time evaluating the needs of our students and stakeholders, to help inform our strategic direction for the next 3 years. This direction produced our Strategic Plan for 2025, refocusing our work to enhance how we deliver activities and services for students to unleash potential, amplify community and empower everyone.

We are ambitious and held accountable by our members, Strathclyde students. We are guided by the goal of improving our members' lives, helping them better understand what we do and how we can help them. This new strategy identifies our purpose and the values that enable us to successfully achieve our vision; ensuring that the student voice is at the heart of everything we do.
