Strath Union is working with charities and halls to launch an anti-poverty initiative and aim to reduce waste on campus.

If you are moving out of halls soon, you can donate food and clothing to our collection points from Monday 21 May until Saturday 2 June.

We are looking for tinned foods and unopened packs of tea, coffe, cereal, and pasta (amongst other things) as well as clean and wearable clothes. A full list of goods can be found on the poster below, as well as the collection points on campus.

As a celebration, there will be a free community meal on Saturday 2 June at 6.30pm in Vertigo (Level 8) which will use some of the surplus food that has been collected. Register here.

The donations will go to independent food banks and soup kitchens, and if you want to be part of the project team, please contact Taylor Wong, VP Diversity on ussa.vpd@strath.ac.uk
