Resources from Elect HER*
*Elect HER is a non-partisan organisation working to motivate, support and equip women in all their diversity to stand for political office in Britain. Please note that these resources are aimed primarily for candidates running in local or national elections, but there is still useful information!
Please contact strathunion.dem@strath.ac.uk for any elections queries
What are the elections?
Twice a year, we run elections which elect a range of positions, including Faculty Reps, Inclusion Officers, Conference Delegates and other roles.
You can see which roles we are electing HERE

How can I get involved?
When nominations open, students can nominate themselves for positions they are eligible for.
There may be some positions you are not eligible for - for example, only PGR students in Engineering can run to be the Faculty Rep Engineering PGR. You can also self-identify into a number of positions - e.g. only students who identify as Disabled can run for the Disabled Students' Rep.
The link to nominate is HERE
Do you know someone who would be a great officer?
You can anonymously recommend a student you know for a position HERE - we will then get in touch with your comments about why they'd be a great officer and provide more information about the elections.
