Check out all the highlights from Freshers' Week 2022!
Our Fun Day had lots of big prizes, free food and games on The Terrace. Thanks to all the business that got involved contributing to the prizes! It was an awesome day filled with fun and laughs all round, Strathosaurus and Strathy Duck we're even seen battling it out on the Hungry Hippos! And who knows you might even see Strathy Duck again...
We were excited to see all the next big sports stars at the Sports Union Come and Try sessions checking out all of the amazing clubs on offer and getting involved with sport at Strathclyde. Get stuck into more sport with the FREE StrathActive sessions running throuhgout the semester, check out the timetable.
It was amazing to see some many folk at our Freshers' Fair with incredible Societies and Sports Clubs showcasing what they get up to, supplying freshers with some freebies and a bit of chat! Don't worry if you missed signing up or didn't see a society or sports club you were interested in joining at a stall, you can take a look through all the socieites and sports clubs on offer now.
We welcomed back the Plant Sale to Rottenrow Gardens alongside Vintage Vera in The Venue during Freshers helping you kit out your digs and brighten up your wardrobes with goodies. Check out the events page and follow our socials to be the first to hear about more events like these in the future. With thanks to Hridya Harish capturing moments during our Freshers' Fair and Plant Sale!
With events running all week long in The Terrace and The Venue we kept everyone entertained morning and night with pool, pizza, speed meetings and drag bingo. We're always happy to see you at #51Richmond with events like Skint Thursdays and Saturday Vibes providing £2 and £1.50 drinks promos alongside great food from the kitchen until 8pm during the week and Dough Mans Land Pizza providing late night grub Thu - Sat, 8pm-late.
Finally enjoy some behind the scenes of the wonderful Welcome Team packing goodie bags and the adorable (not scary) Strathy Duck handing out our Strathy Scratchies throughout Freshers. Big thanks to the Welcome Team for all their efforts during Freshers' Week!
