StrathActive is an excellent way to be active, meet new friends, take a break from work and studying whilst improving your physical and mental well-being. Our programme offers a variety of sport and physical activity opportunities, the best part is that you can take part when it suits you!
No equipment? No problem! Come along in comfortable sports wear and we will provide the rest.
We also run a monthly 'Get to Know Glasgow Walk', on the first Wednesday of every month. Each walk will be a different route around Glasgow and the suburbs, which is a great way to see more of the city as well as get your steps in!
By joining the StrathActive membership, you're helping us report on the participation of the programme, which aids future funding to keep StrathActive free to attend for all.

Most sessions take place weekly in Strathclyde Sport, the University’s £31m sport, health and fitness centre located at the heart of campus.
The programme runs term-time and will be running 19th September to 4th December 2022, and 16th January to 2nd April 2023.

Check out what our 2021-22 SA Leaders had to say about their experience volunteering:
"The most essential aspect of StrathACTIVE is that it allows me to expand my leadership position and communication skills, as well as meet new people and form new relationships." - Akash Ganguly
"The best thing about volunteering is I get to interact with people from different backgrounds; and the confidence boost after leading sessions and the gratification is something that I look forward to every week." - Aftab Ahmed
