It’s Friday and the end of Day 5 Strath Union and 'ATP @ COP26' Hub. What a week it’s been! Today we had lots of things going on – not just at Strath Union but all of Glasgow. 

 

Patrick Harvie and Lorna Slater presented with life membership for Strath Union

We were delighted to present Patrick Harvie - Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights -  and Lorna Slater Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity with lifetime memberships. Patrick Harvie gave a short Q&A with attendees, spent time with our brilliant Hear to Listen team, and checked out Re: Store.


Fridays for Future march:

After yesterday’s successful banner making session, Strathclyde’s Climate Action Group and students were at today’s Fridays for Future March – they even spotted Greta Thunberg! If you want to get involved with the Climate Action Group, you can find out more on our website.

 
Walking Forest welcomed to Strath Union

Our very own VP Inclusion Nesha welcomed Walking Forest to our Union today who began their walk from dawn today in the pursuit of climate justice.

Remember, all students are welcome to attend events. Have a look through the programme and simply register for free via EventBrite. There are countless opportunities to hear about projects, ways to get involved and important messages all in the name of tackling climate change.

Happening this weekend

Remember our Bar remains open on Saturdays and our amazing Hear to Listen team will also be around!

‘Under the Bridge’ will perform live at Strath Union. The ensemble will perform Vivaldi's Four Seasons in full in what is bound to be one of a memorable and atmospheric recital. Find out more here.

This Sunday is International Inuit Day and Inuit Circumpolar Council are hosting an event with performances, film screenings, panel sessions and special guests.
